Advancing the Well-being of Children and Youth

All children have a right to survive, thrive and fulfill their potential. It is critical to prevent more children from suffering tragedies of abuse, neglect or abandonment. Children deserve the right to live without violence, and have access to the resources to become healthy citizens in this world. Access to education is a basic human right. It reduces poverty and child labor and offers the tools needed to succeed in life.

Everyone should have access to high quality essential health services without financial hardship. Working together to deliver health care is critical to the overall positive development of communities and sustainable livelihoods. It is important to improve the health of disadvantaged communities as a means for them to escape poverty and improve the quality of their lives.

Supporting Locally Driven Solutions in Working for Social Change and Community Transformation

Around the world, nearly 795 million people lack adequate food. In America 1 in 7, basically 50 million Americans are relying on assistance for food.  “What we want everyone to know is that hunger is solvable and is the common thread among the world’s most challenging issues, including poverty, disease, education and the welfare of women and children.” stated Rod Brooks, President and CEO of Stop Hunger Now.
The Oliver Family Foundation is a small charitable organization that was established in 2004 with the objective of addressing the vital needs of the community both locally and globally. The Foundation's mission is to promote human dignity, alleviate human suffering, and advance the health and well being of individuals and communities.

The Foundation supports 501(c)(3) organizations with programs that are innovative and promote sustainable solutions to address community needs. Specific projects that have received support to date have addressed the following areas: advancing the well-being of children and youth; providing essential medical care; and alleviating poverty and hunger.
